Comments:
Although attributed to L. Frank Baum, this book was entirely the work of Ruth Plumly Thompson. This book tells how the Scarecrow, having fallen down a magic pole, to the Silver Islands far below the surface of Oz, is proclaimed the re-created Emperor of the Islands! Before he knows it, the Scarecrow is in the midst of all sorts of trouble. But Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion, along with new friends Sir Hokus of Pokes, the Comfortable Camel and the Doubtful Dromedary, help him put everything right.
